Middle School ESPORTS Pilot Program

April 5th - May 28th

Limited Time Spring 2021 League Registration

Opens: March 16

Ends: April 1 

  • Open to all middle school students (ages 11-14).
  • League play (competition) will take place Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm. Practices and drop-in play will be added as decided upon by coaches and players.
  • The Berwick Area YMCA is offering a Virtual eSports league and tournament play for middle school students this spring. 
  • Gamers in this pilot program will enjoy gameplay and league competition in Rocket League and drop-in play in other popular games. Additional competitive gameplay will be added at a later date.
  • Esports requires the use of strategy, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to achieve individual or team success. Online safety, character development, and supervision are key components of the program.
  • Players can sign up and play with friends (Rocket League is 3v3) or will be assigned to a team in their age range. All level players are welcome.
  • This is a virtual-only program for this session, but we hope to add an in-person experience next session. 
  • Registration includes league play, 1:1 coaching during sessions and practices, weekly curriculum on online safety and virtual citizenship, a Uniform and trophies (pending competitive league play)
